“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”Acts 1:8
As Holy Spirit-empowered witnesses of Christ, we desire to plant the gospel in our city and throughout the world. As a result of this, part of our church’s vision statement reads as follows:
“We long to be a people so transformed by grace that our living faith moves us to actively love others and sincerely share the Good News of Jesus in every area of life (1 Thessalonians 2:8). We hope to be a church that is concerned foremost with the exaltation of Christ in the growth of His Kingdom (Colossians 3:2–4).”
Since 2011, Peine Ridge Church has been partnered with missionary families in Indonesia, a country comprised of over 13,000 islands, located in Southeast Asia. Indonesia has a total population quickly approaching 250 million people and is the home to 227 unreached people groups (UPG’s). With over 90% of the total population claiming Islam as their religion, Indonesia is the most densely populated Muslim country in the entire world.
Peine Ridge Church is currently partnered with local missionaries in an effort to reach a people group located on the Island of Java, an island where 60% of the Indonesian population lives. In addition to evangelizing the lost, we are intentionally investing in local believers to disciple, encourage, and equip them to evangelize the lost and to reach their own people (family, friends, and neighbors) with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
As people hear and respond to the gospel in Indonesia, we connect them with our local missionary partners to disciple, train, and send out biblically qualified leaders to start indigenous, biblical churches in homes throughout their communities. This is how we are investing in church planting efforts around the globe.
If you are interested in being a part of a team to take the gospel to the Indonesian people, or if you want to know how you can best pray for our efforts there, please contact us.
